Author presents book on culinary history

Author Nathan Crook will present his book, A Culinary History of the Great Black Swamp: Buckeye Candy, Bratwurst and Apple Butter, at 7 p.m. at Way Public Library.

In his book, Mr. Crook, a cultural anthropologist and assistant professor of English and agricultural communication at the Ohio State University’s agricultural campus, explores regional food traditions passed down through generations.

Mr. Crook has been researching and writing about culinary history and traditions in the Midwest for the past decade.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the presentation.
